We finally passed our state budget! Please send money. Gas is now $18.30 per gallon, car registration $732.00 (per month), admission to state parks $49.00, green fees $2.9K, fishing license $326.00. Don't really want to discuss constitutional law. We're well on our way to a full recovery.
On a more serious side, Danae was laid off from work yesterday.I guess 30 years of service was no match for the economic crisis engulfing our nation. I'm ecstatic that she doesn't have to fight that drive (3-4 hours per day) any more. We gratefully receive that personal time back and look forward to quality fights now. Our previous disagreements were rumors at best. We are very excited to see what God has in store.
Fortunately, my work seems to be on an upswing. We'll see what next week brings...haha Our kindergarten Sunday School class is one of the highlights of our week. Our "kids" are very inspiring and enlightening. Thursday night Bible study has been growing in size and intensity. Very exciting also.
Don't see Michael as much as we'd like to. He works till 7:00 every night and with dinner and such it doesn't leave much time. They did stock trout in the lake...maybe that will entice him to come over and do some boating with me.
Danae's boys are in their first year of college at Orange Coast and maturing rapidly. Her daughter Jessica is struggling to establish her clientel. It's taking more time than anticipated with the current conditions.
Phil is engaged to be married this year to Crystal. She has a 6 year old daughter. Phil is in court determining custody/support. He has scheduled visits with Jack who is growing up fast.
I talk to RJ almost daily on the phone. We have developed a very close relationship and discuss our common bond, Jesus Christ often. They are still modifying his medications and he is more of RJ every day.
Love in Christ, Paul
